Twin sister of the late former Black Stars player, Christian Atsu, Christiana Atsupui has pledged that she will continue his beloved brother’s legacy.
Aside football, Christian Atsu was known as a philanthropist — someone who fed and supported orphans in so many ways, after his unfortunate death, Atsupui has assured these orphans that she will continue the good things his brother started with Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng’s crime check foundation and others.
According to a story published by ghanaweb.com, few days after the state assisted final funeral rites, Christiana Atsupui visited Becky’s Foundation to pledge her support.
“I know Atsu was working with the orphanage and
so today, I have come with my brother’s team that
is Ibrahim the agent and Mr Yartey the manager
and other people to see the children and to also
lift up their hope that all hope is not lost yet.
“As I am here, I will continue, the baton has been
passed to me. So, I am here to tell them that Atsu
is not here but Atsupie is here to continue his
work.” the late footballer’s sister told the kids in a
video shared by Crime Check Foundation.
Christian Atsu who played his club football for FC Porto, Chelsea, New Castle, Hatayaspor etc was one of the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey which took lives of uncountable lives.
