Daddy Lumba Explains Why ‘Theresa’ Will Forever Be In His Heart Though They Never Got Married.

Demigod, Charles Kwadwo Fosu known in the Showbiz space as Daddy Lumba has opened up that his first girlfriend, Theresa Abebrese who he met in school hugely supported his trip to Germany in search of greener pastures.

In a YouTube video monitored by asarebediakonews.com, the phenomenal singer said, though Theresa Abebrese is dead but she is one of the people he will never forget in his life and for this reason, he specifically made a song for her. In this song, Lumba praised her and said he has never seen a friend like her.

According to the iconic Ghanaian musical artiste who won the ultimate artiste of the year at the first edition of Ghana Music Award, life became difficult after he completed senior secondary school in 1985, though his supportive mother was alive but he was unsure of his future but with the help of her first girlfriend, he was able to travel to Germany.

“I was at home one day, after I had completed school and Theresa came to visit me, and she asked what I wanted do in future now that I’m done with school. She advised that since my dad has passed on and mum is single parenting going to the university will be a struggle so it was better if I relocate to Germany,” the iconic musician shared

Aside his brilliance in school, he was also known as a good singer because he was a leading member of the school choir. When he got to Germany, he met Ghanaian prolific highlife songwriter singer and performer, Nana Ernest Owoahene Acheampong who introduced him to the making of highlife music.

Now, Charles Kwadwo Fosu has arguably become one of the greatest music personalities in the world. He attributes her success to his first time girlfriend who sadly died in the the year 2017. He says he wouldn’t have become a great musician achieve all these successes If Theresa had not extended a helping hand.

“So all the music I was able to make in Germany and the fame I have would not have been possible if not for Theresa,” he said.

Narrating how their beautiful  friendship started, he said they met in secondary school, they were in the same class at Juabeng Secondary school. He said he was brilliant and very quiet but Theresa — their class prefect noticed him and they became friends.

Lumba revealed that they were in school, it got to a point Theresa virtually provided all his needs including food, clothings etc.

One interesting and surprising thing is that, Daddy Lumba and Theresa Abebrese never got married.
