Ghanaian United Kingdom based singer, Princess Akua Ohenewaa Asieanem known in the Showbiz circles as Stephanie Benson has spoken extensively on implications on body enhancement.
Body enhancement is simply described as the artificial or technological alteration of the human body with the intention of increasing its physical and mental capabilities.
This has become a normal practice in Africa and other continents in the world. There has been lots of conversations on its health implications.
On March 8,2023, the singer joined Felicia Osei on Accra based onua Fm, to celebrate international women’s day and in their conversation she threw more light on the health implications of plastic surgery.
“I think health is everything. We need to be mindful of certain things,” she added “Every surgery has its side effect. I feel if you are done with childbirth and you want to change something, go ahead.”
She told the host that, there are many people who have regretted enhancing their bodies, She said some are even dead as a result of this act.
According to the 55 year old yet very cute, the reality about body enhancement is once you start it, you have to keep doing it to be able to maintain the body shape.
She therefore advised women who highly patronize it to rather make regular exercise be the best option.
“If not for exercise, we won’t be here. Exercise does some wonders. People should not estimate it. I work out from home even after my hectic work schedule. After the age of 35 as a woman you need to lift some kind of weights. Any type of exercise is good. After you work out you feel so much better.”
