Ghanaian gifted christian music singer and preacher, Phil Evans Akesse Brempong has spoken extensively about what should be the focus and mandate of gospel musicians.

Speaking at the maiden edition of the Levites conference at the Royal House Chapel International on March 11, the singer emphasized on how powerful music is — how impactful music has been since time immemorial.

He cited how the likes of Robert Nesta Marley, Lucky Dube, Joseph Hill and others propagated their religious beliefs and freedom fighting agenda to the world and slave masters through music. He said that should be the same thing Christian music singers should focus on and not awards.

In his message, he showed unhappiness in the trend of music that some musicians churn out these days and their hunger for awards instead of propagating the God’s Agenda — which to winning souls into the eternal kingdom.

He encouraged young singers seeking abundance blessings from God to take their calling seriously and work selflessly to ensure that God’s agenda is well propagated.

Moreover, he said this work goes with prayerful. He urged musicians to be more prayerful so to make stronger against any force that would undermine the success agenda.

He believes most musicians these days are not prayerful which is the ideal weapon of every follower of Christ. He therefore urged musicians to always seek direction from God and desist from worldly directions.
