Ghanaian reggae and Afro Dancehall singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla know in the creative space as Stonebwoy has condemned the recent killing and military brutality at Ashiaman in the Greater Accra Region and has called for peaceful resolution according to a story by onuaonline.com
On March 4, it was reported that a soldier in uniform had been murdered at Stonebwoy’s beloved Ashaiman and the next morning a group of soldiers invaded the community.
The musician who is a native of Ashiaman has described killing of the young military officer and the military’s anger on the innocent people of the area as very unfortunate.
In the early hours of march 7, the multiple award winning singer made a post hoping and praying that whoever was involved in that unlawful act which led to the unfortunate death of the young soldier is apprehended and face the law.
“It’s 9am in New York and I’m just waking up to the news of what’s going on in my beloved Ashaiman. I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness, whether it relates to the brutalisation of innocent civilians or unlawful killing of a member of the armed forces. May all those culpable be found out and made to face the law fully,” the tweet contained.
Stonebwoy is extremely disturbed by the news that as made innocent residents of the area. This is a community he has been projecting to the world since the beginning of his career.
