‘Acting Is A Hand To Mouth Profession’ – Pascaline Adwards

Over the years, there has been lots of conversations on the lucrativeness of creative industry especially the movie sector, there has been opinions from some key stakeholders and almost of them says it is not as lucrative as being projected.

Award winnung Ghanaian actress, Pascaline Edwards has also said that actors and actresses who paints a picture that they have made lots of money and properties from the said profession are not truthful.

In a conversation with Felicia Osei on Onua Fm monitored and reported by ameyawdebrah.com, the actress claimed that the movie industry alone as a source of income would not be able to give somebody the necessary means to establish a business or purchase a house.

According to Pascaline, acting is a passion-driven profession that could make one very popular but not necessarily rich.

“The movie industry propels you to a certain level. It gives you a brand. You may get Brand Ambassadorial deals and endorsement which can be lucrative but the income from the movies and set is inadequate.” 

After realizing this, winner of actress of the year 2002 is now into fashion designing, getting huge sums of money to support herself.

She  has therefore urged her colleagues and whoever seeking to go into acting to find a side job.
